The High-Tech Gründerfonds is investing risk-capital in young, promising technology companies, which are implementing auspicious results of latest research. With the help of the financing of foundations up to 500 TEUR, the start-ups should be led from the F&E-intention till the provision of a prototype or a "proof of concepts" or the commercial launch. By the equity financing, the Fonds is obtaining open shares in the amount of 15% of the capital stock of the portfolio company.
The High-Tech Gründerfonds has been arising from the initiative "Partner for innovation" and has a volume of the fonds of about 272 mio. EUR.
Investors of the "public-private partnerships" are the Federal Ministry for Economy and Technology, the kfW bank group as well as the six industry concerns BASF, Deutsche Telekom, Siemens, Robert Bosch, DaimlerChrysler and Carl Zeiss.
